Google Pledges $12.5M to Alpha-Omega Open Source Security Initiative and Extends AI Security Tools
Google, alongside Amazon, Anthropic, Microsoft/GitHub, and OpenAI, is pledging $12.5 million collectively to the Linux Foundation's Alpha-Omega Project for open source security, while extending internal AI tools Big Sleep, CodeMender, and Sec-Gemini to broader open source projects.
