Boeing 717 Fleet WiFi Gap During Transition to Hughes Fusion Satellite System
Delta's 80 Boeing 717s will have their legacy Intelsat air-to-ground WiFi decommissioned in May 2026 ahead of a Hughes Fusion multi-orbit satellite WiFi retrofit, with only one aircraft currently equipped and most expected to fly without WiFi through the summer until installations ramp up in fall/winter, targeting full fleet completion by year-end.
